the COVID-19 roars
like the lion in the room
like an invisible enemy
on the move
terrorising the neighbourhood
you spread fear
and germs at random
disrupting the dream
in so many ways
yet, in our solitude, we still
love, suffer and yearn
for the new dawn
in all its manifestations
cracking
the coronavirus code
with glee
and saving the world
