Light Years

a million light years from home
i walk through the Milky Way
like a soul possessed
longing for you across the silver sea
tasting your
divine nectar
under
the moonlight
i devour the forbidden fruit
with glee
trembling and asking for more
you smile
like an angel on heat
warming my heart
in the moist hour
at the
dawn of time
you share
the divine secrets
of survival
on the edge of infinity
a place
of eternal love
and perfect peace

Back to the Future

a life transformed
in the first light of dawn
i extract poetry from
the maze of loneliness
and hope
as the rainbow lorikeet sings

i seize the day
going back to the future
with pride
i rise early for a stroll
along the scented lane
in Terra Australis
soaking up the sun
and thinking of you

the white cloud
spreads its wings
over my naked soul
like the love bird of the realm
touching my heart
in mysterious ways

The Golden Key

driven by the mighty force
of will in the defining moment
i step back from the abyss
holding the golden key of destiny
the key
that opens all doors
as the spring blossom dances
in my orbit
you warm my heart with glee
injecting the divine pleasure
into me at the nick of time
i taste your essence
with lips of fire
my eyes begin to see clearly
for the first time in years
giving me more than
a billion reasons
to smile even in the worst of times
